ST. Mary’s Orphanage Vocational Training Centre, Private I.T.I, was established in Fathima Nagar (East Fort, Trichur) in the year 1969 under the management of Archdiocese of Trichur, with the assistance of “MISERIO”, a German NGO, to impart training to the inmates of St. Mary’s Orphanage Home and for the boys of near-by areas. We are proud to say that St.Mary’s Orphanage Vocational Training Centre, Private I.T.I is the first I.T.I in private sector in Trichur. Now we are at the threshold of 50th year of its wonderful service to the community. The Institution is permanently affiliated to NCVT Govt. of India New Delhi, the authentic agency in the country to provide such certificate. In the year 2004, this institute was shifted to G.T. Gardens, Madona Nagar, Kachery, just 3 k.m. away from its original place.

St. Mary’s Orphanage Vocational Training Centre, Private I.T.I, offers various training programs to youth that gives an opportunity for skill development and employment. During the last 50 years, St.Mary’s Orphanage Vocational Training Centre, Private I.T.I has given training to thousands of youth in and around Trichur district.

ABOUT US

This institution started functioning as a part of the St. Mary’s Orphanage in the year 1969 under the control of the catholic Archdiocese of Trichur. Vocational courses approved by the Govt. of Kerala were conducted in different trades from the year 1971. In the year 1982 permanent affiliation was granted by the NCVT for all the Govt. approved trades run by the ITC. In the year 2004 the institution was shifted to the present location at Kachery 3km away from Trichur town for providing better infrastructure facilities. Reaffiliation was also obtained along with sanction for shifting location by the order No. DGECT-12/1/2005-TC on 31-02-2005 for the trades mentioned. The manager appointed by the Archbishop of Thrissur exercises the full administrative control of the I.T.I.
